Your after-dinner dessert tonight could help children with life threatening medical conditions.It`s the 9th annual World`s Largest Ice Cream Social Day at Coldstone Creamery, and a free scoop of ice cream will be given to each customer from 5 til 8 tonight to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation.Kate`s Creation will be the featured flavor this evening. It`s caramel apple ice cream with chocolate shavings and pie crust, created by a Make a Wish kid."It just builds awareness of it. There`s a lot of children locally that people don`t get to see their situation everyday. The money stays local to give these kids a chance to make a wish and have it come true," said Rhett Benning, owner of Cold Stone Creamery.Benning says he hopes his store can raise at least $ 1,000 for the local Make a Wish Chapter.
