BYU Football Schedule in 2010 Begins Against Washington Huskies Football Team
The 2010 BYU football schedule opened against the Washington Huskies Saturday. The 2010 BYU football schedule includes Washington and Florida State as two of their non-conference games this season, adding a lot of respect to the scheduling by Brigham Young. Washington is looking to return to the top of the Pac-10 Conference and Florida State is expected to be one of teams that contend for the ACC Championship in 2010. Including both teams, in addition to their conference schedule, it could earn BYU a lot of respect when it comes to voters in the polls later in the 2010 college football season. They will have to win games against these national teams though, and then they have to worry about a couple of very tough teams in the conference.
The 2010 Mountain West Conference standings could get very interesting later on in the season, especially with Utah and the defense that they possess, and the No. 6 ranked TCU team that is lurking. TCU’s only loss last year was against Boise State in their BCS bowl game, in a game that could have gone either way. Now TCU is back with a schedule that could lend to them either getting eliminated early from the BCS picture, or rolling into Mountain West play with even more to prove than usual. For Brigham Young though, they have to focus on the non-conference games first, and worry about the MWC championship later. They do have to play Air Force next week in their first conference game, but that is before they travel to Florida State on September 18.
