Cybill Shepherd Appears on Oprah Today – The News of Today
Cybill Shepherd
Cybill Shepherd made a guest appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show today, along with Teri Hatcher and Linda Evans. They were there to discuss the topics of beauty, aging, and plastic surgery with Oprah.
All three stars had a lot of interesting things to discuss, but Cybill Shepherd came off as the most down-to-earth, and realistic. More women out there can probably connect with Shepherd than either of the other two women.
Cybill Shephard, who turned 60-years-old in February, was a model starting at the age of 16. She won “Miss Teenage Memphis” to get things started. She than decided to try her luck at acting, where she has succeeded greatly. As of today, she is best known for her roles in “Moonlighting”, “Cybill” (as herself), “Taxi Driver”, and recently “The L Word”.
On the Oprah show today, Shepherd discussed what she went through when she realized that she was losing the looks that made her so famous. She remembered one instance when she appeared on the cover of a magazine, but in the mirror didn’t look anything like how she did on the cover after touch-ups had been made. She then hit the big “6 – 0? this past February and that’s when she realized that looks aren’t everything.
“Look at everything and find something you can love about your body,” Shepherd said.
More older women should definitely take Shepherds advice. Everyone grows older, and there is nothing we can do to stop it. Love you body no matter how old you are.
